The Kills - Satellite (new single!)

Here's the new single, Satellite, courtesy of The Kills, from their forthcoming new album, Blood Pressures. I like it, and I'm of the mindset that you will too.

Tell me [if] I'm right. (also, it sounds kinda Dead Weather-y, no?)

Go!

Fake Blood - Medieval (new song!)

I had this whole awesome thing written about Fake Blood's new single, Medieval. Then some asshat web weaver crashed my browser. So, here's the song.

It's good.

Internet crashes are not.

Rai Knight (featuring Oseeola) - Mr. Postman (Redux)

Late last summer, a few of our blog buddies (and our own existence) took to our respective pages to praise the new sounds coming from one, Rai Knight. Err, maybe we should say the New, New sounds, since that's the cut that got us all grooving. But with a new reduxxed version of Mr. Postman, which has been lightly floating in and around our beloved blogosphere, it's time to revisit the world of Rai... and you're specifically gonna want to pay attention to the news we are revealing about a collboration with another of our bespectacled homegirls. Exciting!

Rai knight

So first up, we're lucky to dish out this new remix, er, dux, to you. Rai shares vocal duties with Oseeola, of World Famous Losers, and production comes courtesy of Zach Shipps for Blunkstreet Music. It's rather dope, in our very biased opinion, so grab it on the free tip below.

And now... NOW, we wanna let you in on a lil' something something. Rai recently paired up with the b(r)addest chick in the game, MNDR, for a new remix of Pivotal. Pretty cool developments here in Camp Knight, and sure we'd like to stake claim to the fact that we had everything to do with this matchup (when in fact, it's quite the opposite), but um, yeah, we're pretty jazzed on the potential for this fix. That's not out yet, but it will be soon, we'll have it, no doubt, share it and expect you to love it like we know you can. Additionally, there will be more new music with the promise of a new mixtape after that.

I know I used the word "new" like a milli times in this piece. But um, so worth it.

Katy B: Debut Album Details, MTV Session Video and Girl Unit Remix of Lights On

Whew! Big title... warranted for something coming that's gonna be so big that hey, we'll dub it beastly, as we're prone to doing on the reg. Sweet lil' songstress that she is, Katy B has announced details of her debut album, On a Mission, and whilst we've been in her corner for a hot amount of time, if you're not up in the know, please use this post as your stepping stone into tight tunes that are guaranteed to make you groove and move. Yeah, that'll do.

Amanda Palmer and Peaches - Map Of Tasmania (The Young Punx Mix)

Well hello there, new musicalities of a peach-a-reach-around variety. Amanda Palmer's new single, Map of Tasmania, has gotten a lot of lovin' thanks to some ukulele-ing radness, and now with an official remix from The Young Punx and a lil' guesto verse from Peaches.

Amanda palmer

Hey, there's also a video out.

And if you aren't already aware as to what a "map of Tasmania" is, then simply watch. Or click here for the anatomical similarities.

Boom, bam, pow.

Savage Skulls & Robyn - Bad Gal (new video)

Only been loving on this song like, um, well over some year+ status now. And sure, we've writ about it in bits and pieces since hearing the eensiest weensiest snippet of it, but in full, Savage Skulls and Robyn's Bad Gal is in part, infectious and in whole, beastly. And now, we've got official clippage of the cut, meaning, ay yo, it's the video! Love love love.

White Sea - Ladykiller (Gigamesh Remix)

My new, your new, OUR new obsession. That's all really.

Gigamesh

Whilst it's nothing tremendously groundbreaking or innovative, Gigamesh's remix of White Sea's Ladykiller (one of our favorite cuts of 2010, mind you) is way more than effective and affecting. Yes, this and that is all.

Now dance.

Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers (Dave Sitek Remix)

Pairing some instant Doors-ian sounds (they don't last long, but something about the opening sequence screams Morrison to me) with Daptones-esque horns, Maximum Balloon and TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek pumps out a jingly jangling remix of Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers. It also sounds like elements pulled from The xx at times. In other words, so good.

So, in short, we'll simply say it's Beaston approved.

Lykke Li's Wounded Rhymes is out March 2 in Sweden. And on some other day in the US. (ok, it's March 1)

Mmmkay.

Ciara - Gimmie Dat (Rye Rye & DJ Sega Remix)

Rye Rye's "eventual" debut album, Go! Pop! Bang!, is maybe, possibly, so we're told now due out on February 22. I guess she was also supposed to put out a mixtape in advance of her freshman offering, but that too, got the push back. RYEot PowRR (lol) might see daylight soon, but in anticipation of that, as well as the full length, we've got a cut from the unofficial spinner. It's hot. Album delays are not.

R-Squared teams up with DJ Sega for a remix of Ciara's Gimmie Dat.

Here in Beastonia, we really like the original, but we super totes love the remix.

Git it, gurl. Or gurls. And boyz.

Introducing: James Delay

Little is known, as of right now, about James Delay. But here's to wishing, hoping and guaranteeing that said notion will all soon change, thanks to a brilliant debut slice of lovely electro pie. The East London-based DJ and producer has tickled nearly every one of our senses with the song Howl, and we say nearly every one, because I don't think you can taste tunes. Although if you could, this would be the super yummiest cut to indulge in.

James delay

Not only do I wanna eat up this song at every passing moment, but I also wanna bay at the moon [bay=howl, duh] whilst listening to it. Makes the beast in me get animalistically tingly.

Hey, the remix from Fear of Theydon is pretty rad as well. Get 'em. Just... yeah, get 'em, after you watch the official video.

James Delay's Howl is out now via Russell Club Records. Buy it on iTunes.
